Goodwood Festival Of Speed. It’s one of the most significant shows on the UK show calendar, but truth be told it’s also one of the very best in the world. Where else brings together such an eclectic mix of performance – both two and four wheeled – spanning over 100 years of all things motoring? Many events come close, but no other place puts on quite the spectacle that Festival Of Speed offers.

Now in its 25th year, Festival Of Speed was born thanks to one man’s passion for motorsport – The Duke Of Richmond (aka Lord March) – who, unable to obtain the sufficient permits to host an event at Goodwood Motor Circuit, decided to quite literally use his driveway at Goodwood House instead. The Goodwood hillclimb was born, and the rest is quite literally history.

Back in 1993 Festival Of Speed was a much smaller event than the behemoth it’s become in 2018, but the premise has always remained the same – performance & action taking place around the clock. No car is exempt from the hillclimb which is what makes it such an incredible experience. Senna’s priceless F1 McLaren being driven flat-out between hay bales? You bet’cha.

Over the past few years Meguiar’s have attended Goodwood complete with display stand, show cars & product available to purchase on the day. 2018 brought with it scorching sunshine which – although not ideal for us pale Brits – proved to be the perfect conditions to showcase the performance of Meguiar’s cleaning product in the harshest of conditions!

We had an absolute blast throughout the entire weekend and it was a pleasure to meet so many new faces unfamiliar with the world of Meguiar’s, not to mention a few familiar ones from KW Suspension, Urban Automotive and Liberty Walk UK.

Despite being a 4-day event it seems to fly past in a heartbeat, but with Goodwood Revival just around the corner we can’t wait to get dressed up & back down South for another glorious weekend!
