Las Vegas – Sin City – the place where dreams can be made and lost at the roll of a single dice. It seems like a pretty unusual place to hold the world’s biggest tuning expo, doesn’t it? But that hasn’t stopped SEMA from taking over the Las Vegas Convention Centre for the past 50 years, now attracting more than 2,300 exhibitors and 150,000 attendees!

Meguiar’s has been a long-term supporter of SEMA (short for Specialty Equipment Market Association) and as you’d expect we always aim to turn up with a spectacular stand complete with jaw-dropping display cars. This year was no different, with one of the stand-out cars being the Ironworks Speed & Custom ’62 Chevy which you can read more about here.

But what really makes SEMA such an awesome venue is the sheer variety of cars, tuners and manufacturers from around the globe who – for four days in November – sit side by side one another showcasing all the best aspects of car tuning from every ‘scene’ imaginable.

American muscle and domestic rides have always been prominent at SEMA and still remain a huge part of the show’s attraction. But in the past decade especially, the influx of Euro and Import cars – as well as the products – on display at SEMA has truly engulfed the show into the global beast it’s become renowned for. In fact, in the past three years alone the show has focused massively on the Rocket Bunny/Liberty Walk movement which has seen supercars including Lamborghinis, Ferraris and McLarens all going under the knife in the name of tuning!
