The best automotive show in the world. Fact! Now in its 21st year, Goodwood Festival Of Speed has grown from a humble hillclimb in the south of England to the unofficial British Motorshow.

But while the show stands have expanded and the crowds now flock in over four long days, the same ethos has always remained the same: to showcase every motorsport discipline from every era imaginable in one single venue!

Goodwood Festival Of Speed has always been centered around the 1.16-mile hillclimb which runs directly through Lord March’s estate – not a bad view, right? The idea of a hillclimb came about back in the early 90s when Lord March – determined to bring motor racing back to Goodwood Circuit – didn’t have the necessary permits (at the time) to do so and instead used his own grounds as the venue.

It quickly proved to be a massive success, not least due to the sort of cars you could find blasting up the hill year on year. Unlike other events, Goodwood Festival Of Speed isn’t just a case of walking round and seeing all your favourite cars parked up: every race car and road car, new or old, is expected to run up the hill giving you the sights, sounds and smells to take in!

One-off tank-powered cars? Got that covered. 80-era Turbo F1 boasting 1500bhp? There’s an entire class dedicated to it. In fact, Goodwood’s ‘Moving Motor Show’ even showcases cars not yet available – this year’s shining star being the Porsche 991 GT2 RS.

It’s this unique factor – combined with the massive access Festival Of Speed gives all punters – which is what makes it unlike any other automotive show in the world. To say Meguiar’s UK is proud to be a part of such a prestigious event is a huge understatement, and as you can see from our gallery below there’s no doubting its position as the number 1 must-visit show in the calendar!
