Japanese car culture is SERIOUS business in the UK. From old-school classics like the AE86 Corolla right through to the latest turbocharged Civic Type-R, Japanese car culture remains one of the most prolific scenes in the UK with more die-hard enthusiasts than ever before.

In fact, the UK now plays host to multiple Japanese-only events throughout the entire year taking over popular motorsport locations including Santa Pod and Silverstone Circuit. In terms of size and scale, they don’t get much bigger than Japfest – Europe’s largest Japanese-only car event which has been a staple in the show diary for nearly two decades!

2017 once again saw Japfest return to Silverstone Circuit after outgrowing its previous venue @ Castle Combe circuit. The change in venue – and the much larger space – is a welcome addition to Japfest, meaning more enthusiasts not only get to display their cars, but also get through the gates without queuing for hours at a time.

With a dedicated trade area, Meguiar’s took along our show tent complete with uber-clean display vehicles and our latest Mirror Bright range also available on the day. Japanese car fans are some of the most dedicated around, and that was clear to see in the paddock with a range of Meguiar’s-prepared cars still looking super-clean including Jordan Warren’s Rocket Bunny RX7 and Amy Slade’s 350Z.

Check out our gallery from this year’s event below, and if you didn’t make it across there’s always Japfest 2 @ Donington on 1st July 2017!
