This weekend the NEC Classic Motorshow was host to the Meguiar’s Club Showcase, a gathering of the finest award winning club vehicles from across the country. Each is a show winner in its own right and is hand picked by their respective club to join the showcase as a premier example of the marque. At the show each of the 16 entrants vied to become champions of champions, the overall Meguiar’s Club Showcase winner.

After much deliberation from the independent judging team, the National Mini Owners Club ‘Best Of Show’ 1966 Morris Mini Traveler Woody was awarded the Meguiar’s Club Showcase title. The car has been lovingly restored by owner Andy Nash over the last three years of ownership, and looks fantastic considering the starting point. Andy describes it as “a heavily corroded wreck with some serious wood worm in the rearward section!”.

Despite the comprehensive restoration work Andy hasn’t kept the little Morris wrapped in cotton wool, he’s travelled the country winning awards at Beaulieu, Santa Pod and also car of the show at the British Mini Club event. You couldn’t tell however, for each show Andy meticulously prepares the iconic British estate to an as-new condition.
