Meguiar's @ Ultimate Dubs 2016

A weekend visit to Telford’s International Centre can mean only one thing – the UK show season is back once again kicking off with Ultimate Dubs!

As the name suggests, Ultimate Dubs is all about Volkswagen car culture covering everything from classic air-cooled Beetles right through to the latest turbocharged GTIs.

Despite this, we’ve noticed a growing trend at UD over the past few years – non-VWs in attendance including BMWs, Mercedes and even the occasional JDM ride. If the car looks the part, you’re welcome here…

Ultimate Dubs is often regarded as the first proper modified show of the year, and with this in mind Meguiar’s always brings along a huge display for the main hall showcasing our entire cleaning product range and a variety of super-cool show cars.

Taking centre stage on the Meguiar’s stand this year was Laura Godtschalk’s immaculate Mk1 Cabby, the Forge Motorsport ‘Berg Cup’ Mk1 Golf and Alex Hurd’s slammed BMW 3-series from Rollhard. Stanced, concourse and race cars, what’s not to love?

Parm and the team @ Car Audio Security once again turned up with one of the biggest stands at Ultimate Dubs showcasing all the latest Air Lift Performance products and builds.

New for 2016, the Car Audio & Security team unveiled their new BMW M4 demo car – sitting pretty on Rotiform wheels complete with Air Lift suspension and 3H management, installed perfectly by Phil @ The Install Company.

Players Show frontman and Meguiar’s ambassador Jay McToldridge took the prized Car Of The Show trophy with his insanely-clean Mk1 Golf build.

Detailed my Meguiar’s earlier in the day, not a single bolt has been left unturned on this crazy build boasting an entirely new interior, supercharged motor and bespoke Rotiform wheels.

Huge crowds, hundreds of top-quality show cars and positive vibes all day – Ultimate Dubs 2016 didn’t disappoint. If this is what 2016 has in store for the modifying scene, we say bring it on!
