Earlier in the month car culture website Speedhunters.com unveiled a fresh new look for one of their flagship demo cars. Running a full RAUH-Welt bodykit, Bisimoto single turbo upgrade and Rotiform MLWs (measuring in at 18x13in ET-52!) it’s safe to say this Porsche 964 has some SERIOUS road presence! And that’s before it’s slammed to the ground on the Air Lift Performance suspension…

Built to be unveiled at the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas, the ‘Spirit of 147’ Porsche was originally painted white before being wrapped in 3M matte black vinyl to coincide with the classic Porsche rally car it pays homage too. What’s more, with a photoshoot planned in the desert ahead of the show it was going to need a bit of Meguiar’s love to get it SEMA ready!

‘At some time around 6:00am we arrived at Stonepipe Wells, located our spot and pushed the not-so-shiny-anymore Spirit of 147 into place on the airstrip.’ explains Rob Bullough from Speedhunters. ‘The previous day’s visit to Meguiar’s had netted us a good collection of microfibre cloths and a dizzying number of plastic-bottled car-cleaning technological witchcraft which we put to work restoring the 964’s finish to photoshoot-ready spec.’

The end result was nothing short of spectacular, and despite being a vinyl finish it looked absolutely killer both in the pictures and in the metal. It was a real pleasure to help the Speedhunters.com team on this build and we look forward to seeing what the future holds both for the Porsche and the website.
